The Village will be conducting hydrant flushing on the week of May 15th, 2023. Village water customers can expect brown water during that time. 

The Village conducts hydrant flushing twice a year to help clear the water mains from iron deposits on water mains that occur naturally over time. Brown water indicates the presence of iron and while not harmful to people, it can be an annoyance or stain items. It is advised to check the water before doing things such as laundry during that time.  

If brown water is noticed, residents can allow the faucet to run until it is clear or await for the line to clear with time.
